The Groton Long Point Police Department seeks assistance from the public as it conducts a Food Drive from April 18, 2011 through May 18 2011. All collected items will go to the Town of Groton Food Locker.
Items may be dropped off any time at the Groton Long Point Police Department, #3 Atlantic Ave (rear) Groton, CT Tel 860-536-4921. All collected items will be given to the Town of Groton Food Locker C/O Human Services, #2 Fort Hill Rd, Groton, CT. Mon-Fri 8:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M.
Non-perishable food items or personal healthcare items are requested. Many popular items include canned goods, personal items, beef stew, peanut butter, jelly, hot & cold cereals, tuna fish and pasta/ spaghetti sauce. Also popular are clothing items and school supplies.
These are hard times and there is a constant need to help families and children with food and clothing.
